Job summary

Philippine Veterans Bank is seeking a Business Risk Officer to strengthen risk management across business units. The BRO will identify, assess, and mitigate risks in line with BSP Circulars and MORB, and support internal controls and operational resilience.

The role focuses on RCSA, KRIs, risk reporting, and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure compliance and effective risk governance. A background in risk, audit, compliance, or banking operations is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• At least 3 years’ experience in risk, audit, compliance, or banking operations.
• Working knowledge of BSP Circular Nos. 900 and 1112, as well as the MORB.
• Experience in People Risk Management is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSA) and maintain risk registers.
• Develop and monitor Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and prepare risk reports.
• Identify control gaps and recommend improvements.
• Manage operational risk incidents and loss events.
• Perform risk reviews for new products and process changes.
• Support People Risk Management (KYE) and fraud prevention.
• Assist in Business Continuity Planning (BCP).
• Ensure compliance with BSP regulations and support audits.
