Job summary

Chinabank PH in Makati is seeking an Operational Risk Analytics Officer who will support the implementation and maintenance of the Bank’s operational risk management tools.

You will gather qualitative and quantitative risk data, build analyses to support escalation of risk issues, and coordinate with units across the organization for accurate assessment of risk indicators and loss incidents.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Baccalaureate Degree in listed disciplines.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in Banking Operations.

Job description

The Operational Risk Analytics officer provides support in the implementation and maintenance of the Bank’s Operational Risk management tools. The function entails gathering and deriving both qualitative and quantitative risk data into risk analyses to support the escalation of operational risk issues and continuous development of risk management tools. The function also involves coordination with various units in the organization for the proper assessment of reported risk issues, risk indicators and loss incidents.

Job Qualifications:

Education:

• Must hold at least a Baccalaureate Degree in Business Management, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Applied Math or its equivalent

Professional Experience:

Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in Banking Operations with demonstrable understanding of any of the following:

• Governance and corporate operations of a universal bank
• Transaction life cycles, product life cycles, systems, and methods of the financial markets and particularly of universal banks
• Domestic banking and financial market regulations particularly those that relate to operational risk

Knowledge and Skills Required:

• Understanding and applied knowledge on Operational Risk Management frameworks
• Implementation and utilization of Operational Risk Management tools
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Proficient in developing and maintaining logical and mathematical models using MS Excel and other Microsoft applications, including Power BI and Power Apps
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for interpreting process flows and identifying gaps
