Job summary

A technology consulting firm is looking for an experienced Java Developer in Taguig to design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications with a focus on robust API development. Candidates should have at least 5–7 years of experience in Java SE/EE, proficient in Spring Framework, and strong front-end development skills. This role is 100% onsite in BGC with an initial 6-month contract, requiring candidates to be open to a full onsite setup.

Qualifications

• At least 5–7 years of experience in Java SE / Java EE technologies.
• Proficient in Spring Framework (Core, MVC, Security, AOP) and Hibernate ORM.
• Strong front-end development skills using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and related client-side technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Web Services (SOAP / REST).
• Solid understanding of Java Design Patterns and OOP principles.
• Familiarity with Linux environments.
• Experience working with Application Servers (Jetty, JBOSS, Tomcat).
• Experience with Databases (Oracle, MySQL).
• Knowledge of Version Control Systems (SVN, GIT, Mercurial).
• Comfortable using IDEs such as Eclipse or IntelliJ.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications focusing on robust API development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and design new features.
• Implement best practices for coding, testing, and documentation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
