Job summary

MicroSourcing is seeking a Technical Denials & Appeals Specialist (IP & OP) to manage non-clinical claim denials within the US healthcare revenue cycle. You will analyze denial root causes, correct claim issues, and prepare technical appeals to maximize reimbursement.

The role requires at least 1 year in denial management, familiarity with ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS, and strong English communication. Onsite night shift in Taguig, with a performance-driven, inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in US healthcare denial management or appeals handling.
• Senior High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of US healthcare revenue cycle management and medical billing processes.
• Familiarity with ICD-10, CPT/HCPCS, CMS-1500/UB-04 and CARC/RARC denial codes.
• Experience using Epic, Cerner, or Meditech EMR systems.
• Excellent written and verbal English (CEFR B2).
• Strong analytical and time-management skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Review denied claims using EOBs, ERA, and payer portals to identify denial reasons and root causes.
• Interpret denial reason codes (CARC/RARC) and categorize denials (authorization, eligibility, coding, timely filing).
• Correct claim errors related to demographics, insurance, provider details, authorizations, and basic coding validation.
• Prepare and submit non-clinical appeal letters with supporting documentation.
• Monitor appeal status and perform timely follow-up to maximize reimbursements.
• Manage denied/ unpaid claims in A/R via payer follow-up by phone, email, and portals.
• Collaborate with billing, coding, QA and other teams to resolve complex denial issues.
