Job summary

MicroSourcing is hiring a Medical Billing & Denials Specialist in Manila for onsite night shifts. You will manage non-clinical claims denials within the US healthcare revenue cycle, analyze root causes, prepare appeals, and collaborate with payers and internal teams to maximize reimbursement.

Requirements include 1+ year in US denial management, familiarity with CARC/RARC codes, and experience with EMR systems such as Epic/Cerner/Meditech.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in US healthcare denial management or appeals handling.
• Strong understanding of denial codes, filing deadlines, and payer processes.
• Experience with EMR systems and payer portals.

Responsibilities

• Review denied claims using EOBs/ERAs and payer portals to identify denial reasons.
• Interpret CARC/RARC codes and categorize denial types (authorization, eligibility, coding).
• Correct claim errors including patient data, insurance details and basic CPT/ICD validation.
• Prepare and submit non-clinical appeal letters with supporting documents.
• Monitor appeal status and follow up to achieve resolution.
• Manage denied claims in AR inventory via payer follow-up by phone/email.
• Collaborate with billing, coding and QA teams to resolve complex denials.
• Maintain documentation and denial tracking reports; support process improvement.
