Job summary

UltraManpower in Quezon City is seeking an on-site Accounting Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of the Accounting Department and coordinate with the VP for Finance on financial operations and reporting.

The role requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, at least 3 years of supervisory experience, and strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, and regulatory compliance. CPA is preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy required.
• CPA license is highly preferred but not required.
• At least three (3) years of supervisory or managerial experience in Accounting or Finance.

Responsibilities

• Leading and managing the day-to-day operations of the Accounting Department.
• Coordinating directly with the Vice President for Finance regarding financial operations and reporting.
• Managing the department's Quality Management System (QMS).
• Performing financial duties assigned by the Company President.
• Serving as the primary financial contact for overseas principals by handling financial inquiries and correspondence.
• Reviewing and auditing remittances received from principals through company depository banks.
• Conducting final verification of monthly General Shipping Accounts (G.S.A.) reports and other assigned principal accounts.
• Reviewing and approving final wages and settlements of disembarked crew members.
• Overseeing accounting matters involving Protection and Indemnity (P&I) claims and insurance.
• Managing treasury functions, company checks, cash monitoring, and bank reconciliations.
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, financial reporting requirements, and company policies.
