Job summary

Rising Tide Digital, Inc. in Makati City is seeking a Database Administrator with strong Oracle and MS SQL Server experience. The role is responsible for maintaining, monitoring, securing, and troubleshooting databases to ensure availability and performance.

Key tasks include installing, configuring, and managing databases, writing and optimizing SQL, performing backups/restores, and supporting cloud databases (AWS/Azure/OCI). The position is fully onsite with a day shift and ASAP joiner.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
• Hands-on experience as a Database Administrator.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle and MS SQL Server.
• Good knowledge of SQL and database performance tuning.
• Experience with backup, recovery, troubleshooting, and database security.
• Knowledge of high availability and disaster recovery is an advantage.
• Cloud database experience is a plus.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Must be available to join ASAP.
• Must be willing to work fully onsite in Makati City.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and manage databases.
• Administer Oracle and MS SQL Server databases.
• Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and views.
• Monitor and improve database performance.
• Perform database backup, restore, and recovery.
• Troubleshoot database errors, connectivity, and performance issues.
• Manage database users, roles, access, and security.
• Monitor database availability, capacity, and resource usage.
• Support high-availability and disaster recovery solutions.
• Implement and document database changes following ITSM processes.
• Create automation scripts using SQL, PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Support cloud databases such as AWS, Azure, or OCI.
• Maintain database documentation and recovery procedures.
