Job summary

Coherent Corp. in the Philippines is seeking a hands-on production operator to operate and set up manufacturing machinery onsite in a fast-paced environment. You will monitor operations, perform inspections, document defects, and maintain records to uphold quality standards.

The role requires 1–3 years in manufacturing or a related field, with leadership potential to guide a small team and coordinate with cross-functional staff while enforcing safety and lean practices.

Qualifications

• A college undergraduate or its equivalents with at least 1–3 years of relevant work experience in manufacturing or machine operation (functional skills). Alternatively, a technical/vocational diploma with equivalent hands-on experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Operate, set up, and monitor production machines to ensure efficient and safe operation.
• Perform in-process and final inspections to verify product quality against specifications.
• Identify, document, and report defects or non-conformities during production.
• Maintain accurate production and inspection records.
• Troubleshoot and coordinate repairs; perform routine machine maintenance.
• Lead and manage machine operations within assigned workstation to meet production targets.
• Ensure adherence to safety procedures and participate in lean manufacturing initiatives.
