Job summary

Savills Philippines, Inc. is seeking a Building Engineer to join our on-site team at Brgy. Buhangin, Davao. The role focuses on ensuring equipment functionality, minimizing downtime, and complying with house rules to maintain a high-quality property experience.

You will monitor utilities, inspect the property, address tenant concerns, implement preventive maintenance, oversee vendor performance, and enforce fire safety procedures while supporting energy management initiatives and cost control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/College Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
• Professional License (Passed Board/Professional License Exam).
• At least 1 year of work experience in the property management industry.
• Willing to work on-site.
• Amenable to work six (6) days a week.

Responsibilities

• Ensure equipment functionality and minimal downtime.
• Monitor utilities and inspect the property; promptly address tenant concerns.
• Maintain cleanliness, order, and security across all areas.
• Implement preventive maintenance programs for all machinery and equipment.
• Oversee vendor performance; set SLAs/KPIs and ensure contract compliance.
• Enforce fire safety procedures and maintain fire protection systems.
• Support energy management initiatives and track cost savings.
• Supervise construction and fit-out works; ensure design and permit compliance.
• Keep permits, documents, and technical reports up to date and ISO compliant.
• Manage inventory and ensure material availability.
• Lead and coach technical and maintenance teams; ensure effective communication.
• Monitor expenses and utility consumption; assist in OPEX and CAPEX management.
• Maintain relationships with landlords, tenants, and stakeholders.
• Recommend operational and technical process improvements.
• Participate in company meetings, training, and professional development.
