Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration, Legal Management, or related field.
• At least five years of relevant experience, including two years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
• Experience in pawnshops, lending, or financial services is strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of regulatory compliance, customer due diligence, and anti-money laundering controls.
• Strong policy-writing, analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and handle sensitive information.
• Willingness to conduct branch reviews and coordinate with regulatory bodies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a compliance framework covering relevant business activities and operational requirements.
• Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on company policies and procedures.
• Coordinate applicable registrations, licenses, renewals, submissions, and regulatory correspondence.
• Oversee customer due diligence and anti-money laundering compliance processes within the role’s assigned authority.
• Conduct compliance reviews and coordinate the resolution of identified gaps.
• Develop and update compliance policies, operating guidance, and monitoring tools.
• Deliver training to employees and maintain appropriate training records.
• Coordinate responses to regulatory examinations and requests for information.
• Track compliance findings, reporting deadlines, and corrective action commitments.
• Prepare compliance reports and escalate significant concerns to management.
