Job summary

About This Role

The Social and Behavior Change (SBC) Officer will support the implementation of community engagement, communication, and demand generation activities at the regional level. This role plays a key part in mobilizing local communities, promoting HPV vaccination awareness and acceptance, managing Risk Communication and Community Engagement (RCCE) initiatives, and monitoring behavioral trends across target areas in the Philippines.

Required Experience And Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Development Communication, Social Sciences, Education, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in Social and Behavior Change (SBC), health promotion, Risk Communication and Community Engagement (RCCE), or community mobilization.
  • Experience supporting public health, maternal and child health, or immunization programs.
  • Proven track record of working collaboratively with LGUs, schools, CSOs, youth groups, and community leaders.
  • Familiarity with national and sub-national government systems, planning, and health promotion structures in the Philippines.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Community Engagement & Mobilization: Support the regional implementation of SBC and RCCE interventions; facilitate community mobilization activities; and coordinate active engagement with schools, youth groups, and community leaders.
  • Demand Generation & Dissemination: Promote awareness and social acceptance of HPV vaccination across target communities; support the contextualized dissemination of communication materials, toolkits, and messaging frameworks.
  • Monitoring, Feedback & Reporting: Monitor community feedback, social listening, and behavioral trends; document field implementation progress, challenges, and lessons learned to inform continuous program adaptation.
  • Safeguarding: Remain alert and responsive to any safeguarding risks, acquire relevant knowledge and skills which will enable you to promote strong safeguarding practices, understand the safeguarding policy and procedures, and conduct yourself in a manner consistent with the Safeguarding Policy.
