About the Role

We have partnered with a leading Australian company specializing in a full range of fire services, including design, installation, commissioning, maintenance, and testing of fire protection systems. Established in 2008, they are committed to Australian Standards, offering innovative and flexible fire protection solutions. They provide 24/7 emergency assistance and are fully licensed to test, install, maintain, and certify a wide range of fire systems.

As an Estimator, you will support fire protection projects by reviewing plans, preparing cost estimates, and managing data in Simpro. Tasks include highlighting plans in Adobe, verifying quotes, and assessing volumes. Attention to detail is key. Training on Simpro will be provided.

No prior experience is needed; full training will be provided!

What you'll be working on:

• Reviewing and analyzing floor plans, project plans, and project documentation (fire protection systems).
• Estimating project costs for budgeting purposes.
• Inputting pricing data and managing data in Simpro.
• Checking and verifying quotations and assessing project volume.
• Creating and maintaining data notes to improve accuracy and learning.
• Ensuring alignment of project details with plans and specifications.
• Collaborating with Senior Estimator and other Team Members to clarify requirements and ensure all aspects are accounted for.

Preferred but not required:

• Graduate of Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Background in fire protection systems, construction, drafting, or a related industry.
• Ability to read and interpret floor plans, electrical/mechanical plans.
• Experience with Simpro (training will be provided).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, formulas).
• Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat and other PDF viewer tools.
