Job summary

AboitizPower, through AP Renewables Inc., seeks an SHE Specialist - OSH to strengthen workplace safety by identifying hazards, implementing OSH programs, and promoting a proactive safety culture across sites.

You will work with the O&M team to ensure compliance with safety regulations, conduct trainings, support audits, and drive continuous improvement to protect employees and communities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, etc.).
• 2 years of experience in Occupational Safety and Health.
• Has PRC license in any Engineering field (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, etc.).
• Preferably Safety Officer 3.

Responsibilities

• Inspect facilities and work areas to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
• Administer OSH plans including PTW, PPE, and safety programs.
• Conduct trainings and toolbox talks to reinforce OSH procedures.
• Support audits and implement corrective actions as required.

As SHE Specialist - OSH, you will improve workplace safety by identifying and mitigating operational hazards, strengthening compliance with safety regulations, and promoting a proactive safety culture, resulting in reduced incident rates and improved employee well-being and contribute directly to transforming energy for a better world. You will work closely with O&M team to deliver results, create positive community impact, and develop your skills in a supportive, purpose-driven environment.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Inspect, measure and monitor facilities, workareas, work environment parameters, machinery/equipment to identify and cause to remove the hazards which pose or has the potential to pose risk to people and property to ensure compliance to standards and prevent accidents.
• Administer the implementation of OSH plans and programs including but not limited to PTW System, PPE Management, Office Safety, Clinic management, mandatory Health programs, Chemical safety, Contractor Safety Management, Road Transport Safety, etc. to ensure maintenance of business are done.
• Assist in compliance requirements by securing permits and supporting documents/data for the timely submission and/or application of reports.
• Conduct trainings, toolbox meetings, stand downs as necessary to ensure that employees and other plant entrants including contractors are well aware of the OSH protocols and guidelines to safely execute site activities.
• Ascertain the sufficiency and readiness of medical and safety equipment such as emergency tools, fire response equipment, rescue systems through monitoring in order to be available when needed.
• Co-facilitate SHES Committee and act as a Safety Officer of the Company
• Notify relevant parties on the impairment of safety systems, imminent danger and or unsafe conditions existing in the workplace to come up with agreed corrective action.
• Assist and cooperate during audits, assessment and evaluation as required in the management systems, corporate and regulatory agencies and implement corrective actions as needed/required.
• Collect, sort and interpret information/evidence/data in support of incident investigations and resolution of OSH issues and concerns.
• Perform other related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by his/her immediate superior.

• Proficiency in risk assessment, emergency preparedness and response, strengthening safety culture, reducing workplace incidents
• Strong skills in conduct of safety trainings

What You Will Need:

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (e.g. Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, etc.)
• 2 years of experience in Occupational Safety and Health
• Has PRC license in any field of Engineering (e.g. Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, etc.)
• Preferably Safety Officer 3
