Job Description
- Provides basic patient care, including bed-making, linen changes, hygiene assistance, feeding, and mobility support.
- Monitors and records vital signs, oral intake, urine output, and other patient observations, reporting changes to nurses.
- Assists patients with toileting, bathing, grooming, repositioning, and transportation within and outside the hospital.
- Prepares patients for procedures and surgeries, ensuring compliance with pre-operative requirements.
- Facilitates laboratory requests, specimen handling, medication retrieval, oxygen replenishment, and other patient-related errands.
- Maintains patient rooms, supports admission and discharge processes, and performs post-mortem care when required.
- Ensures cleanliness, functionality, and proper maintenance of equipment, nursing stations, supplies, and waste disposal practices.
- Participates in staff development activities, including seminars, trainings, and departmental meetings.
Qualifications:
- Preferably a 2-year course graduate or at least a High School Graduate with Caregiver NC II certification and Basic Life Support (AHA) certification.
- Demonstrates excellent communication, customer service, and bedside care skills, with a strong commitment to quality patient care.
- Willing to work flexible schedules and adapt to operational requirements as needed.
- Exhibits professionalism, teamwork, resource management, quality improvement, records management, and satisfactory performance evaluation results.
