Job summary

Healthway Hospital Fairview, Inc. in Quezon City is seeking an on-site caregiver to provide basic patient care, monitor vital signs, assist with hygiene, feeding, mobility, and transport within the hospital.

The role requires at least a High School Diploma with Caregiver NC II and Basic Life Support certification, willingness to work flexible schedules, and strong communication and teamwork to support quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Preferably a 2-year course graduate or equivalent in caregiving.
• Caregiver NC II certification and BLS certification are required or preferred.
• Excellent communication and bedside care skills; strong commitment to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic patient care including bed-making, hygiene, feeding, and mobility support.
• Monitors and records vital signs and other observations; reports changes to nurses.
• Assists patients with toileting, bathing, grooming, and transport within the hospital.
• Prepares patients for procedures and ensures pre-operative requirements are met.
• Facilitates lab requests, specimen handling, and related patient errands.
• Maintains cleanliness and functionality of patient areas and supplies; supports admissions and discharges.

Job Description

• Provides basic patient care, including bed-making, linen changes, hygiene assistance, feeding, and mobility support.
• Monitors and records vital signs, oral intake, urine output, and other patient observations, reporting changes to nurses.
• Assists patients with toileting, bathing, grooming, repositioning, and transportation within and outside the hospital.
• Prepares patients for procedures and surgeries, ensuring compliance with pre-operative requirements.
• Facilitates laboratory requests, specimen handling, medication retrieval, oxygen replenishment, and other patient-related errands.
• Maintains patient rooms, supports admission and discharge processes, and performs post-mortem care when required.
• Ensures cleanliness, functionality, and proper maintenance of equipment, nursing stations, supplies, and waste disposal practices.
• Participates in staff development activities, including seminars, trainings, and departmental meetings.

Qualifications:

• Preferably a 2-year course graduate or at least a High School Graduate with Caregiver NC II certification and Basic Life Support (AHA) certification.
• Demonstrates excellent communication, customer service, and bedside care skills, with a strong commitment to quality patient care.
• Willing to work flexible schedules and adapt to operational requirements as needed.
• Exhibits professionalism, teamwork, resource management, quality improvement, records management, and satisfactory performance evaluation results.
