Job description

Overview

• Secures patient consent and maintains confidentiality of patient interaction, records and health information at all times
• Prepares all consultation rooms at the start of each shift and accomplishes daily checklist of equipment, reports defective equipment / instrument to TL or OM for immediate repair
• Checks for the completeness of supplies needed by doctors, ensures cleanliness and orderliness of the consult and procedure rooms
• Utilizes clinic information system to queue patients properly to the doctors and appropriate service areas
• Triages patients, when necessary, in order of urgency or according to local health protocols
• Receives patients, validates identity, and electronically records and reviews patient information
• Assesses and documents patient’s condition, including vital signs, and chief complaint / s
• Directs patients and assists doctors during examination / procedure as needed; Carries out doctor’s orders
• Assures that reliable and precise documentation is completed, and essential information shared from shift to shift
• Prepares & submits request for purchase to OM on a monthly scheduled basis for supplies / consumables replenishment
