Job summary

Comcast is seeking a Senior Manual Test Engineer to design and implement our IP network. The role focuses on expert-level testing, real-time analysis, and guidance across Cisco routing and switching technologies. Strong hands-on experience and certifications are required.

Ideal candidates will bring knowledge of IP/MPLS, OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, Segment Routing, and QoS, plus familiarity with traffic generators like Ixia or Spirent. Excellent communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of experience in testing Cisco networking technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Routing/Switching and IP/MPLS, OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, Segment Routing, L2/L3 VPNs, QoS.
• Automation knowledge with traffic generators such as Ixia or Spirent is a plus.
• CCNP or equivalent certification.
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Core Responsibilities

Must haves:

• Looking for Manual Test Engineers with 6-10 years of experience in testing Cisco networking technologies, with strong hands‑on
  experience and understanding of Routing/Switching technologies including IP/MPLS, OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, Segment Routing, L2/L3 VPNs, and QoS.

• Automation knowledge and experience with traffic
  generators such as Ixia or Spirent would be an added advantage. (Previous testing experience and knowledge of Ixia and Spirent tools)

• CCNP or equivalent certification

• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Nice to have:

• Experience with Huawei, Nokia F5 or Fortinet devices would be an advantage

• Knowledge of Git and Python or any other programming language

• Knowledge of NETCONF-YANG, open and vendor specific models, as well as JSON and XML markup languages
