Job summary

Shopee in Manila seeks a capable Operations Analyst to lead the Network Planning & Analytics team within Expansion. You will drive quantitative analyses to test feasibility of initiatives and enhance network efficiency across locations and facilities.

The role requires strong Excel/Sheets, SQL or Python, and collaboration with internal stakeholders. Travel readiness is expected to coordinate with partners and deliver annual cost savings and performance gains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Management/Industrial Engineering, Finance, Mathematics, or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of work experience in strategy, finance, and/or project management.
• Strong MS Office and G Suite skills (Excel, Sheets, Slides).
• Excellent critical thinking and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in English and Filipino.
• Knowledge of SQL, Python or other programming languages is a plus.

Responsibilities

The Operation teams at Shopee covers the operational end-to-end process, from when the buyer searches for a product listed on the Shopee platform, to the moment the buyer receives the products. The team analyses and monitors operational KPIs across the region and conducts root cause analysis when operation performance fluctuates. The Operations team comprises Customer Service, Payment, Listings, Warehouse, Logistics, Seller Operations and Fraud.

Job Description:

• Manage the Network Planning & Analytics team under the Expansion department


• Determine the feasibility of current and planned initiatives through quantitative and qualitative analyses


• Analyze, monitor, and implement changes to the network, including new locations, serviceable areas, sellers, and facility capacities, to continuously improve network effectiveness and efficiency


• Plan, analyze, and monitor the actual costs of the department versus budget


• Analyze and monitor the performance KPIs of the department


• Keep track of the commercial details in contracts of lease, renewals, extensions, construction, and other agreements related to the company’s facilities


• Keep track of all payables, advances, and deposits for all facilities, including, but not limited to, lease, renovations, and utility payables


• Coordinate directly with relevant internal stakeholders and external partners


• Deliver significant operational improvement and financial benefits to meet annual targets

Requirements:

• At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Management/Industrial Engineering, Finance, Mathematics, or equivalent


• At least 2 years of work experience in strategy, finance, and/or project management


• A great track record of successful strategy and analytics is required


• High proficiency in MS Office and G Suite, especially in MS Excel, Google Sheets, and Google Slides


• Outstanding critical thinking and interpersonal skills


• Strong communication skills in English and Filipino


• Knowledge of SQL, Python, or other programming languages is a plus


• Capable of handling multiple tasks and working under pressure


• Willing to travel
