Job summary

AVENSYS CONSULTING INC. is seeking a Network Engineer - Data Center for a client project in the Philippines with a 12-month contract under AVENSYS payroll. The role offers a Hybrid setup in Manila.

Responsibilities include deploying and supporting enterprise network infrastructure across Routing & Switching, Wireless and Data Center, with Cisco Catalyst & Nexus platforms and VMware NSX expertise.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of hands-on enterprise networking experience.
• Strong expertise in Routing & Switching.
• Expert-level experience with Cisco Catalyst and Nexus platforms.
• Minimum 4 years of hands-on Wireless Networking experience.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with VMware NSX, including NSX Implementation, Distributed Firewall (DFW), Firewall Policy Management.

• Deploy, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure across Routing & Switching, Wireless, and Data Center environments.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switching platforms.
• Implement and support wireless networking solutions, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
• Manage and support VMware NSX environments, including Distributed Firewall (DFW) and network security policies.
• Participate in network implementation, migration, and infrastructure upgrade projects.
• Perform network troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and incident resolution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, scalable, and highly available network infrastructure.
• Maintain network documentation and ensure adherence to organizational standards and best practices.

Network Engineer

Experience

• Minimum 7 years of hands‑on experience in Enterprise Networking, with strong expertise in Routing & Switching.

Key Responsibilities

Mandatory Skills

• Minimum 7 years of strong hands‑on experience in Routing & Switching.

• Expert‑level experience with Cisco Catalyst and Cisco Nexus platforms.

• Minimum 4 years of hands‑on implementation experience in Wireless Networking.

• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience with VMware NSX, including:

• NSX Implementation

• Distributed Firewall (DFW)

• Firewall Policy Management

• Strong experience in network deployment and implementation projects.

• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Good to Have

• Working knowledge of Firewall technologies.

• Exposure to Load Balancers (F5, Citrix ADC, A10, etc.).

• Conceptual understanding of DNS.

• Basic exposure to SD-WAN technologies.

• Knowledge of network automation or scripting is an added advantage.

Preferred Profile

• Experience working in large enterprise or data center environments.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to work independently in implementation, migration, and support engagements.
