Job summary

Avensys Consulting is seeking a Network Engineer – Data Center for a 12-month contract in Manila, Philippines, with a hybrid work setup. The role requires 7+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise networking, including routing, switching, wireless, and VMware NSX.

The candidate will deploy, configure, and support Cisco Catalyst and Nexus platforms, NSX components, DFW and firewall policies, and participate in migrations and upgrades for enterprise infrastructure.

We are currently looking for Network Engineer - Data Center for one of our clients based in Philippines a contract role with 12 months contract under Avensys payroll and Hybrid setup in Manila for client's project . Experience: With hands-on implementation experience in wireless (min 4 years’ experience) and VMWare NSX, DFW & Firewall (min 5 years’ experience)

- Exposure to DNS and SDWAN at conceptual level

Experience

• Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in Enterprise Networking, with strong expertise in Routing & Switching.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure across Routing & Switching, Wireless, and Data Center environments.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switching platforms.
• Implement and support wireless networking solutions, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
• Manage and support VMware NSX environments, including Distributed Firewall (DFW) and network security policies.
• Participate in network implementation, migration, and infrastructure upgrade projects.
• Perform network troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and incident resolution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, scalable, and highly available network infrastructure.
• Maintain network documentation and ensure adherence to organizational standards and best practices.

Mandatory Skills

• Minimum 7 years of strong hands-on experience in Routing & Switching.
• Expert-level experience with Cisco Catalyst and Cisco Nexus platforms.
• Minimum 4 years of hands-on implementation experience in Wireless Networking.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with VMware NSX, including:
• NSX Implementation
• Distributed Firewall (DFW)
• Firewall Policy Management
• Strong experience in network deployment and implementation projects.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Good to Have

• Working knowledge of Firewall technologies.
• Exposure to Load Balancers (F5, Citrix ADC, A10, etc.).
• Conceptual understanding of DNS.
• Basic exposure to SD-WAN technologies.
• Knowledge of network automation or scripting is an added advantage.

Preferred Profile

• Experience working in large enterprise or data center environments.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently in implementation, migration, and support engagements.
