Job summary

Fluence BESS India Private Limited is seeking a cybersecurity engineer to strengthen our enterprise security program across global deployments. You will develop security requirements, lead risk assessments, and collaborate with product teams to embed robust controls.

The role emphasizes hands-on testing, vulnerability management, and threat analysis using open source and commercial tools. You should have strong knowledge of NIST CSF, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and secure network design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Information Technology, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity processes.
• Proficiency with network security software, tools and applications.
• 2–3 years of related hands-on experience.
• Familiarity with NIST, CSF and other frameworks.
• Knowledge of Cisco/Fortinet firewalls and network equipment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain system requirements, design specs, and deployment instructions.
• Lead security projects, network design reviews, and in-house security testing.
• Monitor security tools and act as escalation point for malware and vulnerabilities.
• Perform manual and automated testing of software and infrastructure.
• Ensure proper network controls with hosting providers (firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAF, DDoS).
• Remediate issues from penetration testing and feed findings to vulnerability management.
• Create roadmaps for enterprise security architecture.
• Consider cyber threats in security architecture requirements and recommendations.
• Maintain proficiency with vulnerability assessment and pentesting tools.
• Provide recommendations to advance security practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain system requirements, design specifications, installation and deployment instructions, and other system related information to address network and cybersecurity requirements.
• Participate in and lead projects for security requirements, network design reviews, and in-house security testing of our product suite.
• Perform day to day monitoring of security tools such as vulnerability scanners and act as an escalation point for notifications sent by hosting providers or internal teams regarding malware, vulnerabilities, indicators of compromise and other security related incident indicators.
• Perform manual and automated testing of new software and infrastructure
• Ensure the proper implementation of network controls with hosting provider(s), such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, DNS Monitoring, WAF and DDoS protection.
• Implement processes and tools to ensure that all exchanges of information with third parties and clients use secured paths.
• Remediate issue discovered through penetration testing, integrating these results to the vulnerability management process.
• Create both short and long-term enterprise network security technology roadmaps to address organization strategic requirement.
• Ensure operational and incident trends in cybersecurity are considered in developing security architecture requirements and recommendations.
• Maintain high level of proficiency and hands‑on experience with open source and commercial vulnerability assessment and penetration testing tools.
• Provide recommendations for advancing the enterprise security architecture practice, security policies, and security control standards to enhance operational practices.
• Proactively conduct security threat analysis and recommend solutions to manage network, system and application vulnerabilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technologym Electronics Engineering, Control Systems, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity processes.
• Proficiency in different network and cybersecurity software, tools and applications.
• 2-3 years of experience in applied related skills.
• Knowledge of NIST, AESCSF and other related Frameworks.
• Knowledge of Firewalls, Routers, switches from brands like Cisco, Fortinet, etc.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to understand customer requirements and effectively convey them to the development team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Self‑motivated with a passion for renewable energy and sustainability.
• Exceptional teamwork and collaboration abilities.
