Job summary

Fluence Energy Inc. is seeking a Network and Cybersecurity Engineer in Manila to design, implement, and maintain security for enterprise systems and product deployments across APAC.

You will lead security projects, perform vulnerability testing, and coordinate with hosting providers to protect networks, apps, and data while aligning with security policies and industry frameworks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Electronics Engineering, Control Systems, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity processes and the ability to apply them to enterprise networks.
• Experience with network and cybersecurity tools and applications; 2–3 years of related work.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain system requirements, design specifications, installation and deployment instructions for network and cybersecurity.
• Lead projects for security requirements, network design reviews, and internal security testing of products.
• Monitor security tools (vulnerability scanners) and escalate issues from hosting providers or internal teams.
• Remediate issues from penetration testing and integrate findings into the vulnerability management process.
• Create roadmaps to address organizational security requirements and improve security architecture.

Job Description:

Responsibilities

• Fluence is currently deploying a robust portfolio of projects in APAC, including multiple battery systems that are 100 MW/400 MWh or more.
• The Network and Cybersecurity Engineer will deploy and deliver different requirements for a project: Develop and maintain system requirements, design specifications, installation and deployment instructions, and other system related information to address network and cybersecurity requirements.
• Participate in and lead projects for security requirements, network design reviews, and in-house security testing of our product suite.
• Perform day to day monitoring of security tools such as vulnerability scanners and act as an escalation point for notifications sent by hosting providers or internal teams regarding malware, vulnerabilities, indicators of compromise and other security related incident indicators.
• Perform manual and automated testing of new software and infrastructure.
• Ensure the proper implementation of network controls with hosting provider(s), such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, DNS Monitoring, WAF and DDoS protection.
• Implement processes and tools to ensure that all exchanges of information with third parties and clients use secured paths.
• Remediate issue discovered through penetration testing, integrating these results to the vulnerability management process.
• Create both short and long-term enterprise network security technology roadmaps to address organization strategic requirement.
• Ensure operational and incident trends in cybersecurity are considered in developing security architecture requirements and recommendations.
• Maintain high level of proficiency and hands-on experience with open source and commercial vulnerability assessment and penetration testing tools.
• Provide recommendations for advancing the enterprise security architecture practice, security policies, and security control standards to enhance operational practices.
• Proactively conduct security threat analysis and recommend solutions to manage network, system and application vulnerabilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technologym Electronics Engineering, Control Systems, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity processes.
• Proficiency in different network and cybersecurity software, tools and applications.
• 2-3 years of experience in applied related skills.
• Knowledge of NIST, AESCSF and other related Frameworks.
• Knowledge of Firewalls, Routers, switches from brands like Cisco, Fortinet, etc.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to understand customer requirements and effectively convey them to the development team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated with a passion for renewable energy and sustainability.
• Exceptional teamwork and collaboration abilities.
