Job summary

CoDev Philippines is seeking a Software Engineer to join our Agile software team, delivering NetSuite customizations and AI-enhanced solutions for a growing list of high-profile customers, with a strong focus on performance and user experience.

You will work as an integrated member of the team, apply object-oriented design, collaborate across Product, Engineering, Finance and Operations, and help maintain the continuous delivery pipeline in a DevOps mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 3–8 years of software engineering experience.
• Extensive knowledge of SuiteScript 1.0/2.x.
• Familiarity with enterprise SaaS cloud-based solutions.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Essential Job Functions / Requirements

• Design and develop NetSuite customizations using SuiteScript 1.0/2.x.
• Understand and apply object-oriented design principles.
• Use AI and automation tools to enhance software development processes and deliver efficient, high-quality solutions.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Finance, and Operations teams.
• Optimize system performance and troubleshoot production issues.
• Work as part of a team to deliver software solutions.
• Demonstrate hands-on experience in developing complex engineering solutions and knowledge of software development methodologies.
• Partner with Product, Infrastructure, DevOps, Architecture, and Engineering teams to guide initiatives and technical direction.
• Participate in tribe-level ceremonies, including planning, grooming, product demonstrations, and retrospectives.
• Assist in enabling and maintaining the continuous delivery pipeline and demonstrate a DevOps mindset to support the autonomy of Agile Scrum teams.
• Demonstrate excellent time management and prioritization skills.
• Remain resilient and adaptable through change.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and DevOps practices.
• Maintain documentation and follow release processes.

AI & Automation Responsibilities

• Implement AI-driven enhancements within NetSuite workflows.
• Collaborate with data teams to integrate AI/ML outputs.
• Evaluate AI tools to improve business processes.
• Demonstrate proficiency with AI assistant tools such as Claude Code and GitHub Copilot. This is a must-have requirement.

Education / Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 3–8 years of experience in software engineering.
• Extensive knowledge of SuiteScript 1.0/2.x.
• Familiarity with enterprise SaaS cloud-based solutions.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Knowledge of release management and deployment workflow processes, from development through production deployment.

Skills & Expertise

• Object-oriented programming languages.
• SuiteScript 1.0/2.x.
• Web API.
• Web services and serialization, including XML, JSON, SOAP, WCF, and REST.
• Unit testing using mock objects.
• Understanding of design patterns and object-oriented programming.
• Familiarity with Agile management tools such as Confluence, JIRA, and VersionOne.
