Job summary

Bounteous is seeking a Junior Murex Environment & Batch Support Engineer to ensure MX.3 on AWS remains stable through hands-on production support, EOD batch monitoring, and environment management across Dev/UAT/Prod. The role requires 3–5 years of capital markets experience and a strong Linux/SQL background.

Responsibilities include monitoring EOD jobs, providing L1/L2 support, managing environments, and coordinating deployments with Control-M/Autosys.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of Murex MX.3 support or environment management experience in capital markets environments.
• Strong technical background in Linux/Unix, shell scripting, and SQL for Murex operations.
• Good EOD batch monitoring experience with Control-M/Autosys and basic failure resolution.

Responsibilities

• Monitor EOD batch processing on MX.3 — track job execution, identify failures, and escalate or resolve issues promptly.
• Provide L1/L2 production support for Murex MX.3 — logging, triaging, and resolving incidents under senior guidance.
• Support Murex environment management — provisioning, configuration, and maintenance across Dev, UAT, Production on AWS.
• Manage job scheduling — Control-M/Autosys — monitor batch dependencies, SLAs, and alerts for Murex workflows.
• Execute and support Murex platform deployments — patches, configuration changes, and release activities across environments.
• Maintain operational documentation — incident logs, batch monitoring notes, and environment configuration records.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, development, and infrastructure teams to support platform stability.

About the Role

We are looking for a Junior Murex Environment & Batch Support Engineer with 3–5 years of experience to support the stability of the MX.3-on-AWS platform through hands‑on production support, EOD batch monitoring, and environment management activities. A strong technical background is essential. This is a rotational shift role covering regular day shift and UK shift (3:00 PM – 12:00 AM IST).

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor EOD batch processing on MX.3 — tracking job execution, identifying failures, and escalating or resolving issues promptly.
• Provide L1 / L2 production support for Murex MX.3 — logging, triaging, and resolving platform incidents under senior engineer guidance.
• Support Murex environment management — environment provisioning, configuration, and maintenance across Dev, UAT, and Production on AWS.
• Manage job scheduling — Control-M / Autosys — monitoring batch dependencies, SLAs, and alerts for Murex workflows.
• Execute and support Murex platform deployments — patches, configuration changes, and release activities across environments.

What We're Looking For

• 3–5 years of Murex MX.3 support or environment management experience in capital markets environments.
• Strong technical background — Linux / Unix, Shell scripting, and SQL for Murex platform operations.
• Good EOD batch monitoring experience — Control-M / Autosys job tracking and basic failure resolution.
• Basic AWS experience — EC2, S3 — for Murex infrastructure support.
• Good incident management skills — logging, triaging, and escalating production issues clearly and promptly.
• Basic capital markets domain awareness — trade lifecycle and back office operations.
• Willingness and availability to work rotational shifts — including UK shift (3:00 PM – 12:00 AM IST).
• Eagerness to learn — proactive approach to developing Murex platform and DevOps automation skills.
