Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is seeking a Multi-Skilled Technician for on-site operations in Batangas, Philippines. The role focuses on quick-fix repairs, preventive maintenance, and coordination with vendors to keep critical systems running 24/7.

The technician will report to the Shift Engineer, perform maintenance on electrical, HVAC, fire protection, and mechanical equipment, and help uphold safety and efficiency across the facility.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma, certification, or vocational training in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, or related technical field.
• Hands-on experience in electrical, mechanical, power distribution, genset, or air conditioning technology.
• Strong vendor coordination and ability to communicate technical requirements on-site.

Responsibilities

• Act as frontline responder for quick-fix repairs, preventive maintenance, and vendor coordination to maintain equipment efficiency.
• Report to the Shift Engineer and provide timely status updates on equipment under repair or maintenance and any critical issues.
• Carry out maintenance and improvement work per the maintenance plan while optimizing efficiency and energy use.
• Maintain electrical distribution, HVAC, fire protection, and mechanical systems in good operating condition per the plan.
• Perform routine inspections, read utility meters, and maintain accurate data logs for analysis and reporting.
• Investigate premises problems as first line of defense before contractors arrive and work to recover normal operations.
• Keep records of all maintenance and improvement work with documentation accuracy.
• Supervise contractors to ensure quality, safety, and adherence to standards.

We're looking for a skilled technician who takes pride in keeping systems running, thrives in fast-paced environments, and is committed to continuous learning.**What your day-to-day will look like:*** Act as frontline responder who is hands-on in executing facilities quick-fix repairs, preventive maintenance tasks, and vendor coordination and assistance to maintain optimal equipment performance* Report to the Shift Engineer and communicate timely status updates on data center equipment under repair or maintenance, urgent facility issues, and any conditions affecting critical operations* Carry out maintenance and improvement work ensuring all procedures, processes, and client requirements are taken into consideration while maximizing efficiency with minimal maintenance and energy costs* Maintain various equipment and facilities including electrical distribution, HVAC systems, fire protection, and mechanical equipment to ensure good operating condition in accordance with the agreed maintenance plan* Conduct routine inspections and control of all areas under client's lease agreement, perform reading of utility meters and maintain accurate data logs for analysis and reporting* When problems about the premises occur, act as first line of defense by investigating the cause before the arrival of maintenance contractors and attempting to maintain and recover normal operation* Maintain safekeeping of records for all minor and major improvement works including all corrective and preventive maintenance activities, ensuring documentation accuracy and completeness* Supervise the performance of contractors to ensure smooth execution of maintenance work and adherence to required standards, quality expectations, and safety protocols* Ensure all technical services work comply with Critical Environment Management procedures, work closely with contractors and vendors on a regular basis, and conduct risk assessments following safety protocols* Ensure compliance with submitted Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and work procedures, maintaining a safe workplace environment at all times**Required Qualifications:*** Technical diploma, certification, or vocational training in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, or related technical field* Demonstrated skills in quick-fix repairs with basic knowledge of operations, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning units and electrical facilities equipment* Hands-on experience in electrical systems, mechanical systems, power distribution, genset systems, or air conditioning technology with proven troubleshooting capabilities* Strong background in vendor coordination and assistance with ability to effectively communicate technical requirements and manage on-site contractor activities* Good communication skills with ability to provide clear verbal and written status updates to engineers and team members* Basic understanding of safety protocols and willingness to follow all workplace health and safety procedures* Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays in a 24/7 operational environment**Preferred Qualifications:*** Basic knowledge in operations and maintenance of critical equipment including UPS systems, precision air conditioning units (PACU), fire detection and alarm systems (FDAS), and fire suppression systems (FSS)* Basic knowledge of how to address and clear non-critical alarms registered on equipment and perform first-level troubleshooting* Basic knowledge of Critical Environment Management procedures and best practices for maintaining high-availability data center operations* Familiarity with building automation systems, monitoring platforms, and work order management systems (CMMS)* Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH) certification or willingness to obtain certification within the first six months of employment* Experience working in mission-critical environments such as data centers, hospitals, telecommunications facilities, or similar high-availability operations* Proficiency in basic computer applications such as MS Office for documentation and reporting purposes**Location:**On-site –Batangas, PHLIf this job description resonates with you, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet all of the requirements.
