Job summary

Pleased Inc in the Philippines is seeking a detail-oriented Manual/Automation QA (MQA) to ensure end-to-end quality of SaaS products. You will execute manual and automated testing with Python, design test scripts, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines for release readiness.

Responsibilities include functional, API, and performance testing, defect logging, root-cause analysis, and cross-functional collaboration with Product, Dev, UX, DBA, and DevOps teams. Onsite work in BGC, Taguig is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS/Software Engineering.
• 3+ years of software testing in web-based SaaS.
• Proficiency in Python, Selenium, REST API testing (Postman).
• Solid understanding of SDLC, testing methodologies, and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS).
• Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases (MySQL, MongoDB) and Jira/Git.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and written/verbal English communication skills.
• Willingness to work onsite in BGC, Taguig.

B. Purpose of the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Manual/Automation QA (MQA) to join our Philippine Technology team. The MQA is an empowered development team member responsible for end-to-end quality, performance, and release readiness of Pleased's SaaS products. Using Python and modern testing practices, the role executes manual and automated testing, conducts root cause analysis, and collaborates across functional teams to deliver production-ready software.

C. Role Overview

• Quality Assurance & Testing: Plan, execute, and document functional, integration, API, regression, and performance testing for web-based SaaS applications.

• Test Automation: Design, maintain, and execute automated web/API test cases and contribute to Python-based testing frameworks.

• SDLC & CI/CD Integration: Participate across the development lifecycle, integrating automated tests into CI pipelines to ensure release confidence.

• Defect Management: Document, investigate, and perform root-cause analysis on defects while collaborating with engineering teams for resolution.

Quality Improvement & Collaboration: Identify process automation opportunities, evaluate release readiness, and partner cross-functionally to embed best quality practices.

D. Key Responsibilities

• Manual & Functional Testing: Execute black-box, white-box, regression, stress, and performance testing for web applications based on requirement reviews, test plans, and edge-case analysis.

• Test Automation: Develop and maintain Python-based automated web/API test scripts, frameworks, and reusable utilities to expand regression test coverage.

• API & Integration Testing: Test REST APIs and integrations using Postman, validating request/response schemas, business logic, authentication, and error handling.

• Defect Management & Debugging: Log reproducible defect reports, perform root-cause analysis using logs/DB/DevTools, collaborate on fixes, and verify resolutions.

• CI & Quality Engineering: Integrate test suites into CI pipelines, debug build execution failures, and refine automated testing workflows.
