Overview

We are in search of a highly skilled and experienced Motorpool Manager who will lead the overall operations, maintenance, and performance management of our fleet of heavy equipment, company vehicles, and service units. This role is critical to ensuring all assets are operational, well-maintained, and fully utilized to support our ongoing construction and infrastructure projects in Cebu City.

The ideal candidate must have solid experience in the construction industry, with deep technical knowledge of equipment diagnostics, maintenance scheduling, cost control, and fleet management systems.

1. Fleet & Equipment Planning

Develop and implement the overall motorpool operations plan aligned with project requirements.

Identify equipment and vehicle needs in coordination with project managers.

Ensure proper inventory, documentation, and registration of all company-owned and rented assets.

2. Operations Management

Oversee daily motorpool activities, including vehicle dispatching, repair scheduling, and operator assignments.

Manage fuel allocation, monitoring, and consumption control.

Ensure availability of spare units for urgent site operations

3. Preventive & Corrective Maintenance

Plan and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all heavy equipment and vehicles.

Supervise mechanical and electrical diagnostics, repairs, and overhauls.

Coordinate with suppliers and third-party contractors for parts, repairs, and specialized servicing.

4. Cost Management & Efficiency

Monitor maintenance expenses and implement cost-reduction strategies without compromising quality.

Prepare periodic budget forecasts and analyze maintenance cost trends.

Introduce tracking systems or software to optimize fleet performance.

5. Safety & Compliance Oversight

Enforce strict safety standards for operators and mechanics.

Ensure compliance with LTO, DOLE, DPWH, and LGU regulations.

Conduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective actions immediately.

6. Team Leadership & Development

Lead, train, and evaluate mechanics, drivers, and support staff.

Conduct performance appraisals and identify skill development needs.

Foster teamwork and accountability within the motorpool unit.

7. Monitoring, Reporting & Continuous Improvement

Maintain accurate logs, reports, and fleet databases.

Submit weekly and monthly performance reports to management.

Recommend innovations and process improvements to enhance operational performance.

Qualifications

Graduate of Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related technical field.

Minimum 7–10 years of experience in motorpool or equipment maintenance management within the construction industry is strictly required.

Strong knowledge in heavy equipment systems, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance planning.

Proven experience in cost control, team supervision, and fleet optimization.

Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Willing to be assigned in Cebu City and work closely with operations and site teams.
