Job Description:
The Modern Trade Specialist assists the Head of Sales in managing and optimizing sales and distribution channels. This role is responsible for assisting with partner management, coordinating channel activities, and analyzing data to help drive revenue growth. The Specialist works to ensure smooth operations across multiple channels while supporting strategic initiatives.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Channel Operations Support
Channel Operations Support
- Assist the Head of Sales in managing day-to-day operations in assigned sales channels.
- Coordinate logistics, inventory, and product deliveries to ensure smooth functioning of the distribution network.
- Help ensure all channel partners adhere to agreements and performance standards.
Sales and Performance Tracking
- Monitor channel sales performance and provide regular reports to the Head of Sales.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) for each channel and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to ensure alignment with overall sales goals.
Partner Relationship Assistance
- Help manage relationships with channel partners, distributors, resellers, and retailers.
- Assist in onboarding new partners and providing them with necessary tools and resources.
- Act as a point of contact for partner inquiries, ensuring timely responses and issue resolution.
Data Analysis and Reporting
- Analyze channel data to support decision-making processes for the Head of Sales.
- Prepare reports on channel performance, customer insights, and market trends.
- Assist in forecasting channel sales and identifying potential growth opportunities.
Coordination of Channel Marketing Activities
- Assist with planning and executing channel marketing initiatives and promotional campaigns.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional material and product information for channel partners.
- Ensure that marketing activities are aligned with channel strategy and business objectives.
Process Improvement and Optimization
- Identify inefficiencies in channel operations and propose improvements.
- Work with internal teams to streamline processes and improve the performance of sales channels.
- Assist in developing and implementing best practices for channel management.
Administrative Support
- Manage administrative tasks such as preparing documents, coordinating meetings, and maintaining channel records.
- Support the Head of Sales in managing budgets for channel activities and promotions.
- Maintain up-to-date records of partner agreements, contracts, and performance metrics.
Collaboration
- Liaise with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, supply chain, and customer service, to ensure successful channel execution.
- Work closely with the Head of Sales to ensure smooth communication and execution of channel strategies.
