Job summary

Dr. Jesus C. Delgado Memorial Hospital in Quezon City seeks a licensed midwife to provide quality obstetric care during pregnancy, labor, delivery and the postpartum period.

You will assist physicians and staff, monitor vitals, support newborn care, document accurately, and educate families on breastfeeding and family planning. This is a full-time, in-person role with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of BS Midwifery.
• Licensed Midwife.
• With continuing education or relevant training.
• Good clinical, assessment, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assist pregnant women throughout pregnancy, labor, and postpartum.
• Assist physicians and staff nurses during rounds, examinations, and deliveries.
• Monitor vital signs and progress of labor.
• Recognize pregnancy complications and refer concerns to the physician.
• Provide immediate postnatal care and essential newborn care.
• Educate and counsel mothers and families on breastfeeding, newborn care, reproductive health, and family planning.
• Administer prescribed medications, vaccines, and other necessary treatments.
• Complete required patient documentation and reports.
• Ensure proper care and maintenance of ward equipment and supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
