We are looking for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer who enjoys working across both software and hardware.
You will be responsible for developing the embedded system that controls the machine, while also contributing to the connected software platform behind it. This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys solving problems across firmware, electronics, connectivity and software.
Develop and maintain embedded firmware using C/C++ and ESP32/FreeRTOS
Integrate sensors, motors, actuators, cameras and other hardware
Develop reliable cellular connectivity and cloud communication
Implement safety, fault handling and fail-safe behaviour
Develop OTA firmware updates and remote diagnostics
Contribute to cloud services, APIs and React-based applications
Build tools and simulators for testing without physical hardware
Support fleet deployment, monitoring and troubleshooting
Debug hardware using oscilloscopes, logic analysers and multimeters
Graduate of Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering or any related field
5+ years of production embedded firmware experience
Strong C/C++ experience on microcontrollers
Experience with ESP32/ESP-IDF/FreeRTOS, or STM32/ARM Cortex-M with willingness to learn ESP32
Solid understanding of UART, SPI, I2C, GPIO, ADC, PWM, timers and interrupts
Hands‑on experience with motors, actuators or similar physical hardware
Experience with board bring‑up and hardware debugging
Comfortable reading schematics and using electronic test equipment
Python or shell scripting for test tooling and automation
Able to work as an individual contributor and as part of a team
Willingness to work across hardware and software
Registered Computer Engineer (RCE)
IoT or connected-device experience
Cellular/LTE modem integration
AWS experience
React or full-stack development experience
Stripe/payment integration
Camera and barcode/QR code processing
Vending, kiosk or automated equipment experience
Secure boot or production OTA update experience
Embedded Linux
