Private Advertiser is seeking a Mid-Level Web UI QA Tester to ensure the quality, functionality, usability, and reliability of web applications. You will perform manual testing and document defects clearly.
You will create and execute test plans and cases, conduct cross-browser UI testing, participate in Agile ceremonies, and mentor junior testers as needed. Strong attention to detail required.
We are looking for a Mid-Level Web UI QA Tester who will be responsible for ensuring the quality, functionality, usability, and reliability of web applications. The ideal candidate has solid experience in manual testing, strong attention to detail, and the ability to identify, document, and communicate defects effectively.
Create and execute test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts based on business and technical requirements.
Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, and exploratory testing of web applications.
Conduct thorough UI and usability testing across different browsers, screen sizes, and devices.
Validate web pages against UI/UX designs, specifications, and acceptance criteria.
Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects using appropriate bug-tracking tools.
Provide clear and detailed defect reports, including steps to reproduce, expected results, actual results, severity, and supporting screenshots/videos.
Perform cross-browser and cross-platform testing to ensure consistent user experience.
Collaborate with developers to investigate, reproduce, and resolve reported issues.
Perform regression testing after fixes, enhancements, and new releases.
Participate in requirements review, sprint planning, refinement, and other Agile ceremonies.
Help identify potential quality risks early in the development lifecycle.
Maintain and improve QA documentation, testing processes, and best practices.
Provide timely feedback regarding product quality, release readiness, and potential risks.
Mentor or provide guidance to junior QA testers when needed.
2–4 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance or Web Application Testing.
Strong experience in manual testing of web applications.
Good understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Experience creating and executing detailed test cases and test scenarios.
Strong knowledge of functional and UI testing.
Experience with cross-browser testing using browsers such as Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.
Familiarity with responsive web design and testing across different screen resolutions and devices.
Experience using defect/test management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, or similar tools.
Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, browser Developer Tools, and web technologies.
Good understanding of HTTP requests, APIs, and basic API testing is an advantage.
Familiarity with SQL/database testing is a plus.
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies in web interfaces.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
Experience with tools such as Postman, Browser DevTools, Charles Proxy, or similar testing tools.
Basic knowledge of automation testing using Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar frameworks.
Understanding of responsive and accessibility testing.
Basic knowledge of Git/version control.
Experience testing web applications across desktop, tablet, and mobile browsers.
