Job summary

OceanaGold Corporation operates in the Philippines and seeks a Superintendent - Metallurgy to oversee metallurgical processes across mining and processing. You will manage a team of metallurgists and technicians, optimize recovery, and ensure safety and environmental compliance while supporting production targets.

The role requires a tertiary degree in Metallurgy, Chemistry or Chemical Engineering and at least 7 years in metallic mine processing, including 3 years in a superintendent position.

Responsibilities

• Lead metallurgical staff in designing test work and trials for improved performance
• Oversee safety, environmental compliance, and quality
• Ensure timely production reports through metallurgical accounting
• Represent the lab contractor and coordinate with external parties
• Develop and maintain Process Plant procedures and checklists
• Optimize plant recovery and throughput
• Support forecasting and budgeting for production and recovery
• Ensure direct reports are trained and compliant with safety
