Job summary

OceanaGold Corporation is seeking a suitably qualified Superintendent—Metallurgy to oversee metallurgical processes at the Didipio operation in the Philippines. You will lead a team of metallurgists and technicians, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance while optimizing recovery and throughput.

Reporting to the Process Manager, you will develop testing regimes, analyze data, and collaborate across departments to meet production targets and improve plant performance.

Qualifications

• Teritiary qualifications in Metallurgy, Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years experience in metallic mine processing plant.
• Minimum 3 years at superintendent level with leadership of high-performance teams.
• Advanced presentation and technical reporting skills.
• Proven high-level planning and prioritization skills.
• Strong analytical skills with a systematic, logic-driven approach.
• Strong communication and people skills.
• Continuous improvement and innovation oriented.

Responsibilities

• Lead metallurgical staff in designing tests and trials to improve performance.
• Direct supervision of projects to ensure safe and timely implementation.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of production reports via metallurgical accounting development.
• Act as Principal Representative with assay laboratory contractor.
• Develop and maintain Process Plant procedures, forms and checklists.
• Optimize Process Plant recovery and throughput.
• Support Process Manager in forecasting and budgeting of production and recovery.
• Ensure safety training and systems are in place for direct reports.

Job Description

OceanaGold are seeking asuitably qualified and motivatedSuperintendent—MetallurgyToberesponsibleforoverseeingthemetallurgicalprocesseswithinthe miningandmetalprocessingoperations.Thisroleinvolvesmanagingateam of metallurgists and technicians, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, optimizing processes to improve efficiency and yield,troubleshootingissues,andcollaboratingwithotherdepartmentsto achieve production targets. It also includes identifying and realizing aspects associated with ore processing and maximizing gold and copper recoveries, developing testing regimes, and analyzing data for project work to realize process plant recovery and throughput improvements. This role reports to the Manager—Process.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• Lead the metallurgical staff in designing test workand trials suitable to the process for improved performance
• Provide direct supervision of projects to ensure safe and timely implementation
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of production reports by continuous development of the metallurgical accountingsystem
• Act as Principal Representative dealing with the assay laboratorycontractor
• Develop andmaintain Process Plant procedures, forms and checklists with the assistance of the Process administrators
• Optimize Process Plant recovery andthroughput
• Support Process Manager in forecasting and budgeting of production andrecovery
• Ensures direct reports are properly trained and systems are in place to ensuresafety.
