RecruitNest Consulting in the Philippines is seeking an Outpatient Coding Supervisor to lead the outpatient coding department and oversee daily operations for accurate and timely coding of records.

You will supervise a team of coders, monitor productivity and quality, ensure compliance with guidelines, and drive process improvements, while aligning with regulatory requirements and company policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a healthcare-related field preferred.
• 5+ years of medical coding experience with supervisory/leadership experience.
• Active AHIMA or AAPC certification (CPC, CIC, CCS) or RHIT required.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, HCPCS coding guidelines.
• Experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Meditech, or 3M Encoder.
• Experience handling inpatient cases, including high-dollar accounts.
• Ambulatory/outpatient coding supervision experience is a plus.
• Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Immediate start preferred.

About the Job:

We are looking for an Outpatient Coding Supervisor to join our client's healthcare team and oversee the daily operations of the outpatient coding department. In this role, you will lead a team of medical coders, ensure accurate and timely coding of outpatient records, monitor productivity and quality standards, and support continuous process improvement. You will also provide guidance to the team while ensuring compliance with coding guidelines and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of medical coding experience, with at least 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Active AHIMA/AAPC (CPC, CIC, or CCS) or RHIT certification is required.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, and HCPCS coding guidelines.
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems, such as Epic, Cerner, Meditech, or 3M Encoder.
• Experience handling simple to complex inpatient cases, including high-dollar accounts.
• Experience in ambulatory care or outpatient coding supervision is an advantage.
• Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Can start immediately, if possible.
