We are seeking experienced Medical Coders to join our team in Pasay, Metro Manila. You will review medical records and assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes for outpatient encounters, ensuring compliance with regulations and payer requirements.
Responsibilities include collaborating with providers to clarify documentation, supporting claims teams to resolve coding issues, and generating reports on coding productivity, compliance, and billing status.

As an Medical Coder, you will be responsible for reviewing and coding medical records for encounters, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and policies. You will play a critical role in ensuring accurate coding for insurance billing, reimbursement, and patient care services.
Review medical charts and assign accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes for outpatient visits, including ED, physician visits, and ambulatory surgical procedures.
Ensure codes are assigned in compliance with all applicable regulations, payer requirements, and industry standards.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation when necessary.
Work with claims teams to resolve any coding-related issues and ensure timely submission of claims.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding standards, insurance regulations, and healthcare industry practices.
Participate in regular quality assurance checks to ensure coding accuracy and compliance.
Generate reports related to coding productivity, compliance, and billing status.
Must be Registered Nurse with Active Coding license
Must have an active Coding license

ED facility
Claim Edits
Observation (PB)
Urgent care coders
Surgery coders
ED professional
EM OP
EM IP
Coding Denial Management
Radiology
Labs / Pathology
EMS
Anesthesia
Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS coding systems
Proficient in EHRs and encoder tools such as 3M, EPIC, Cerner, etc.
Understanding of medical necessity guidelines and national correct coding initiative (NCCI) edits, LCD/NCD coverage rules.
