Job summary

Verse Medical, Inc. is hiring a Medical Biller to join our Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) team.

This remote role focuses on filing and posting claims, ensuring timely payment, and building scalable billing processes for new product categories. You will bill Medicare/Medicaid and other carriers, research denials, resubmit properly documented claims, and maintain transparent communication with clients about balances, all while expanding your knowledge of US medical billing.

Responsibilities

You'll be a key part of the RCM team, working to get patients the medical equipment they need at home by making sure every claim is filed correctly and paid on time. You'll also be joining at an exciting time: as we launch new product categories, you'll help build the billing processes that support them from day one.

What You’ll Achieve: A Glimpse into Your Contributions

You will have the opportunity to:

• Bill Medicare, Medicaid and other insurance carriers.
• Research and correct rejected claims and post payments.
• Resubmissions of claims as required with supporting documentation as needed.
• Post payments or rejections received.
• Call payers and/or work on payer websites to status or reprocess claims as necessary to secure payment for claims.
• Update accounts receivable with new accounts or missed payments.
• Ensure all clients remain informed on their outstanding balances and debts.
• Learn the billing, documentation, and prior authorization requirements for new product categories as we launch them, and help us turn what you learn into repeatable processes.

Core Skills & Experience:

• Great communication, written and verbal, in English.
• Detail-oriented and accurate when working through a queue of claims, denials, or payments.

• Comfortable with learning new things quickly.
• Coachable and curious: you take feedback well, ask good questions, and apply what you learn.
• Some experience in US medical billing, claims, or revenue cycle (any specialty) is helpful. We'll train you on our product categories.

Bonus Points

• Familiarity with prior authorizations and medical necessity documentation for DME.

If you have billed for any of the following, we want to hear about it:

• Diabetes: continuous glucose monitors (CGMs), insulin pumps, and related supplies
• Respiratory: CPAP and BiPAP, including capped rental billing and compliance/adherence documentation
• Mobility: manual and power wheelchairs, including complex rehab
• Orthotics & Prosthetics (O&P)

You’ll be joining the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) team, a hands-on team that values accuracy and speed of execution.

The tools and technologies you’ll use include:

• Billing & Claims: Verse’s internal order and billing platform, plus our clearinghouse for claim submission and remittances
• Payer Portals: Availity, DME MAC portals, and health plan provider portals
• Reporting: Metabase and Google Sheets
• Collaboration: Slack and Google Workspace

Work Environment & Location:

• This is a remote role based in either Manila, India, or Pakistan
