Job summary

Aboitiz Foods is seeking a Mechanical Technician to ensure the plant's mechanical systems and auxiliaries operate at peak efficiency. The role involves preventive and corrective maintenance, routine inspections, lubrication, and enabling plant performance improvements.

The ideal candidate will have a mechanical engineering degree and at least five years of experience maintaining mechanical equipment, with familiarity in GMP/HACCP practices.

Qualifications

• Mechanical engineering degree required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience maintaining mechanical equipment.
• Familiarity with GMP and HACCP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on plant equipment to ensure reliable operation.
• Conducts problem solving on mechanical variances and consults Maintenance Supervisor as needed.
• Performs scheduled lubrication and monitors equipment operating parameters.
• Maintains spare parts inventory and ensures proper documentation of work orders and records.
• Attends emergency service requests and night calls as needed.
• Supports 5S and continuous improvement efforts to reduce operating costs.
