Job Description

Maintenance Specialist is responsible for the operation of raw materials unloading facilities and implementation of maintenance services for all equipment, machines and systems to ensure the safety, reliability, availability and efficiency of all plant machinery and equipment.

Raw Materials Unloading Operations & Maintenance

• 1a. Supervises raw materials unloading operations ensuring maximum feed rate of discharging machines/equipment used and that unloading time does not exceed existing standards.
• 1b. Plans and implements repairs and maintenance works of all unloading equipment and machines ensuring that the procedures applied and replacement parts used conform to product specifications and repairs are in accordance with the applicable standards.
• 1c. Troubleshoots unloading equipment ensuring that these run properly during raw material unloading operations.
• 1d. Attends vessel shifting during hatch transfer and coordinate with the vessel crew.
• 1e. Coordinate and collaborate with Silomen and vessel crew during raw materials unloading to ensure efficiency of the operations
• 1f. Monitors critical spare parts and ensures availability when needed.
• 1g. Monitors and analyzes equipment condition and implements corrective action to abnormalities encountered.

Machines and Equipment Maintenance

• 2a. Implements repairs and maintenance works of equipment and machines scheduled by the Maintenance Planner ensuring that the procedures applied and replacement parts used conform to product specifications and repairs are in accordance with the applicable standards.
• 2b. Regularly performs reviews, recommends and implements a cost-effective maintenance program to ensure effective maintenance of critical and non-critical units, based on the root causes identified from previous problems encountered, condition monitoring and time-based tasks ensuring that identified problems do not recur.
• 2c. Establishes and implements a maintenance monitoring plan for critical and non critical machines. Checks and analyzes the data of the operating conditions of equipment/machine regularly and recommends to CMD Manager and/ or Maintenance Planner necessary measures to ensure safe and cost-efficient operations.
• 2d. Evaluates the workmanship of repair, fabrication and reconditioning works of all spare parts ensuring that the parts met the required specifications and standard.
• 2e. Establishes and maintains an efficient materials/ spare parts requisition system. Monitors the requisitions ensuring that the spare parts requested and received will meet the required specifications and that the inventory is kept lean while supply of materials is available when needed.

Other Related Functions

• 3a. Establishes, maintain, recommends and implements a good housekeeping program for all areas supervised to ensure compliance to food safety standards set by HACCP & GMP.
• 3b. Implements company policies, procedures and guidelines on safety and accident prevention for manpower and machinery at all times.
• 3c. Conducts performance appraisal as scheduled and required. Identifies and recommends to CMD Manager developmental training needs of subordinates.
• 3d. Assures the accuracy and completeness of all drawings, files, engineering records, reports, prints, and tasks of assigned projects.
• 3e. Performs related work as maybe assigned by the immediate superior.

Qualifications

Education:

• Graduate of BS Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Technology

Experience

• 5 years experience in related work for BSME of BSEE
• 3 years experience for Mechanical Engineering Technology graduate
