Job summary

SUHAY OPC in Laguna, Philippines is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations by installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment to minimize downtime and sustain efficiency.

The role requires performing preventive maintenance and inspections, complying with cleanroom, ESD, environmental, QMS, EHS, and IATF standards, supporting audits, coaching technicians, and driving cost-saving and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Must be a Licensed Mechanical Engineer.
• Minimum of one year of experience in equipment maintenance or facilities maintenance within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations by installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment to minimize downtime and sustain production efficiency.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and regular inspections of equipment and facility systems while ensuring compliance with cleanroom requirements, ESD controls, environmental regulations, and occupational safety standards.
• Comply with established quality and safety systems, including QMS, EHS, and IATF requirements, and maintain complete and accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Assist in equipment setup and commissioning activities and support internal, customer, and external audits to maintain compliance and operational preparedness.
• Optimize the use of maintenance resources, including spare parts and consumables, while supporting cost-saving and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide coaching and technical guidance to newly hired technicians and recommend improvements to equipment, processes, and maintenance practices to enhance productivity, efficiency, and safety.
• Participate actively in health, safety, and environmental initiatives, promptly report potential hazards, and perform other duties or assignments as required by management.
