Job summary

City Government of Muntinlupa - Government invites applications for a Mechanical Engineer to join a multidisciplinary hardware development team. The role covers design, prototyping, documentation, estimation and product enhancement of gaming machines.

The ideal candidate will contribute to design, testing and documentation in a collaborative environment, with emphasis on safety, performance and process improvements. On-site position based in Metro Manila.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or related field.
• 5 to 7 years of experience.

Job Overview:

TheMechanical Engineerwill join our multidisciplinary team of hardware developers. The successful candidate’s main responsibilities involve a new product development cycle, encompassing initial design and prototyping of gaming machines. He/She will collaborate with fellow designers to explore alternatives and options for the further advancement of projects and products. The candidate will be tasked with responsibilities such as design, research, engineering documentation, estimation, and product enhancement.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develop prototypes and validate designs with the design team.
• Generate 3D data, part list and assembly drawings, to support manufacturing, testing, and assembly.
• Design parts, components, and assemblies to fulfill requirements of assigned projects.
• Investigate new materials and development methods relevant to the project.
• Record and analyze testing data, refine designs to meet safety, performance, and efficiency standards.
• Create essential engineering documents for machine mass production and design changes and engineering reports.
• Write, edit and maintain comprehensive documents for various products and services including technical manuals, user guides, product layouts and catalog, assembly work instructions and documents for regulatory compliance.
• Collaboration with cross sectional groups: hardware, software, suppliers and product management team to ensure the accuracy and clarity of the documentation.
• Offer technical support during the assembly and disassembly of machines and machine documentation.
• Perform any additional tasks assigned by the immediate superior, as they relate to the job title and description, on an as-needed basis.

Requirements:

• Must have a degree in Engineering – Mechanical, Mechatronics or related fields.
• Licensed or unlicensed candidates are welcome.
• 5 to 7 years’ experience
• Proficient in Solid works 3D CAD software or equivalent design-related software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat.
• Has background and knowledge on metal fabrication, plastic molding/injection and or machine assembly.
• Excellent communication and verbal communication and collaboration skills.
• Demonstrate a "hands-on" and "can-do" attitude.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to organize complex information and produce high-quality documentation.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Trustworthy, dependable and can work with minimum supervision.
• Basic understanding of software development, electrical, mechanical concepts, and other related terminology.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, when handling, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Adaptability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Knowledge or interest in slot machines and casino games is an edge.
