Job description

The Mechanical Engineer - HVAC is responsible for the planning, design, installation, supervision, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of HVAC systems for various projects. The role involves reviewing mechanical plans, specifications, shop drawings, and technical documents; conducting site inspections; preparing HVAC designs, equipment selections, material specifications, quantity take-offs, and cost estimates; and ensuring that HVAC works comply with approved plans, project requirements, engineering standards, and safety regulations.

The position coordinates with the Construction Head, Project Engineers, architects, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and other disciplines to ensure proper and timely implementation of HVAC works. The Mechanical Engineer - HVAC also monitors installation progress, inspects materials and workmanship, conducts testing and commissioning, troubleshoots technical issues, and recommends corrective measures. The role requires proper documentation of project activities, adherence to company policies and engineering standards, and performance of other related duties as may be assigned by management.
