Job summary

SMDC is seeking a Project Assistant to support the Project Manager in coordinating, monitoring, and executing project activities for residential, parking, and common areas. This role involves contractor supervision, documentation, reporting, and compliance monitoring to ensure timely, safe, and quality delivery.

Ideal candidates have a mechanical engineering background, a professional license is a plus, and 3–5 years of construction or project supervision experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Professional license (Civil Engineer or Architect) is an advantage but not strictly required.
• Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in construction, engineering, or project supervision.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in project management tools, MS Office, and basic scheduling software.
• Ability to work under pressure and willingness to be mentored into higher project leadership roles.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in monitoring progress of unit deliverables for residential, parking, and common areas.
• Support the preparation, verification, and submission of turnover documentation.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and consultants on day-to-day project activities.
• Track progress reports, cost updates, and scope changes for endorsement to the Project Manager.
• Prepare draft project reports, meeting minutes, and presentations for review and submission.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor compliance with safety, housekeeping, and quality standards.
• Assist in identifying risks/issues and escalateto the Project Manager for resolution.
• Perform assigned tasks and provide administrative and technical support for smooth project execution.
