Hiring for a Junior mechanical designer Project Engineer that would heavily be involved in Office Fitout Construction works. Highly knowledgeable in Mechanical HVAC and Fire protection design that will contribute to the success of the office fitout project completion. Capable of handling multiple projects and can work with minimal supervision, with high business acumen traits and client interfacing interpersonal skills. Must be able to adapt to the ever-changing environment of office workspace, flexible enough to collaborate with other stakeholders.

The main responsibilities of a PROJECT ENGINEER II include:

• Designing mechanical HVAC and Fire protection systems as primary role.
• Assist in Project Management if no design works required as secondary role focused on mechanical systems.
• Collaborate with other Interior designers and Architects and engineers under Project and Design Department.
• Provide schematic layouts and site mapping for AC and fire protection system as conceptual layouts good enough for bid documents and shop drawings.
• Liaise and coordinate design works to Professional Mechanical Engineer signing off the plans and specifications.
• Provide Specifications and high level BOQ as part of bid documents.
• Review and recommend plans and resolutions for all existing and new mechanical HVAC and fire protection systems across KMC sites.
• Conduct ocular inspections and assess handover condition of possible sites to gather information relevant in the designing of mechanical HVAC and fire protection system.
• Conduct research for new product innovations for mechanical HVAC and Fire protection systems.
• Conduct initial QAQC work assuring that all mechanical works are implemented according to plan.
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks on mechanical HVAC and fire protection system.
• Develop spreadsheets, diagrams, and process maps to document needs.
• Review project BOMs, set bid conferences and clarification meetings.
• Site coordination & technical coordination with different trades.
• Perform other related duties as assigned. Reports to immediate Manager and Director of Projects.

To apply, you must be an expert on the following requirements:

• Has strong communication skills and has vast experience in designing mechanical HVAC and fire protection system for office fitout space.
• Licensed Mechanical Engineer or RME.
• Has the ability to provide sound solutions or manage project issues to prevent or minimize project escalations.
• Comfortable in working in a fast-paced environment.
• Knows how to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings and CAD Files. Revit and BIM is a plus.
• Proficient in CAD operation as basic design tool. Advanced software relevant to the work is a plus.
• Knowledge in Office Fit-Out standards (AMEPFS, FDAS, Auxiliary and Allied Services).
• Flexible, resourceful, and can work under pressure.
• Can handle multiple projects and site visits. Willing to be assigned in Out of Town Projects.
• Proven working experience in Mechanical Design, design and or project management is a plus.
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Has BPO and Enterprise fit-out design and project management experience.
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.

It will also be favorable if you are knowledgeable in:

• Bachelor’s / College Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Preferably has more than (5) years of experience in Mechanical Design of office space.
• Has knowledge or familiarity in using MS Project.
• Familiarity in using Design Software (AutoCAD, Sketch Up, MS Office, etc.).
• Knowledge on using Revit and BIM is a plus.
