Description

• Diagnose mechanical issues in diesel and gasoline engines using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacement, lubrication, and engine tune-ups.
• Inspect, repair, and replace engine components including fuel systems, cooling systems, exhaust systems, and transmissions.
• Service diesel and gasoline engines in vehicles, trucks, heavy equipment, or generators.
• Troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems related to engine performance.
• Repair or replace faulty parts such as injectors, pumps, belts, hoses, and sensors.
• Test engines and vehicles after repairs to ensure proper operation and safety.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and computerized diagnostic equipment to complete repairs.
• Maintain accurate service records and report repair findings to supervisors or customers.
• Follow safety procedures and manufacturer specifications during all repair and maintenance work.
• Assist in overhauling engines and rebuilding major mechanical components when required.
• Keep the workshop and tools clean, organized, and in good working condition.
