We are looking for a Mechanic who is skilled with diagnosing mechanical issues, performing routine maintenance, and repairing vehicles or machinery. Works with a variety of tools and equipment to address mechanical problems and ensure the optimal performance of the vehicles or machinery.
Diagnostic and Inspection:
Regularly review the maintenance checklist submitted by the drivers.
Perform thorough inspections of vehicles or machinery to identify issues.
Use diagnostic tools and equipment to determine the cause of mechanical problems.
Test drive vehicles to understand and diagnose issues.
Maintenance:
Conduct regular maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
Replace worn-out parts such as filters, hoses, belts, and spark plugs.
Perform tune-ups to ensure vehicles run smoothly.
Repairs:
Repair or replace faulty parts and systems, including engines, transmissions, and suspension systems.
Handle electrical repairs and troubleshoot issues with electronic systems.
Address brake, fuel, and cooling system problems.
Reporting:
Report to warehouse manager explain repairs and maintenance needed.
Request necessary parts if replacement is needed.
Provide estimates for repair costs.
Safety and Compliance:
Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure safety and efficiency.
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certifications in automotive technology or a related field is preferred.
Prior experience as a mechanic or in a related field is highly desirable.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and repair tools.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
Attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
