Job summary

TELUS Digital is seeking an MDM Site Reliability Engineer to ensure performance, reliability, and scalability of our enterprise MDM ecosystem built on Informatica IDMC (SaaS) and Google Cloud Platform.

You will bridge MDM development and data operations, collaborating with data engineers, SREs, architects, and business stakeholders to design, monitor, and optimize data pipelines and MDM processes for Customer 360, Finance, and Marketing domains.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Data Engineering, DataOps, or production support for large-scale data or MDM platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Informatica IDMC (Cloud MDM SaaS).
• Familiarity with Customer 360, Business Entity Services, and MDM process design (match, merge, trust frameworks).
• Experience in AWS/Azure; GCP preferred.
• Strong Python and SQL skills for automation and data processing.
• Experience with ETL and orchestration tools (NiFi, CDI/IICS).
• Knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps, monitoring; Terraform, Git, Cloud Monitoring.
• Familiarity with API development (REST/JSON) and Node.js/Postman.
• Working knowledge of data quality, governance, and lineage tracking (IDMC/Data Quality/Axon).
• Excellent troubleshooting, performance tuning, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage, monitor, and optimize MDM SaaS jobs, IDMC workflows, Control-M, and GCP data pipelines.
• Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native data integration pipelines (batch and real-time).
• Support MDM configurations in IDMC including Customer 360, match/merge, and data quality profiling.
• Implement proactive SLA-based monitoring and automation to prevent incidents.
• Conduct performance tuning, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews.
• Collaborate with developers and data consumers to translate requirements into automated solutions.
• Automate maintenance, deployment, and recovery with Python, Shell, Terraform; CI/CD integration.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for pipelines, workflows, and runbooks.
• Stay current with cloud-native MDM, DataOps, and data governance trends.
