Job Description

onsemi is seeking a self-driven and motivated professional to join the Materials Planning team. This role aims to provide continuous supply of materials to support customer requirements in a fast-paced setting, while maintaining a reasonable inventory cost. In addition to Materials Planner responsibilities, this role supports productivity improvement projects and NPI. This role will interface across all levels in the organization to convey messages. This is an individual contributor role that operates in a challenging environment offering growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Oversees activities related to the purchase of material, material control, and inventory control.
• Develops, implements, and maintains policies, procedures, and material control systems.
• Ensures materials are ordered and in stock to fulfill demand, while maintaining optimum inventory levels.
• Develops material schedules and coordinates the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, logistics, production planning, manufacturing and engineering.
• Reviews and plans requirements for material procurement.
• Prepare material requirement plans using MRP system.
• Continuously develop and present productivity improvement projects to support Cost Savings & Delivery KPIs.
• Handles other responsibilities as deemed necessary by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• § Preferably a graduate of BS in Industrial Eng or related field
• § With 2-3 yrs experience in Supply Chain Planning (Materials/Prodn)
• § Goal oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• § With good communication skills and can work along with cross functional teams
• § Good Problem Solving skills and critical thinking
• § With good presentation skills
• § Proficiency in Programming skills an advantage (macro, visual basics, advanced excel, ms access, database management)
