Job summary

Clark Development Corporation is seeking a Lab Technician to perform chemical and physical analyses of raw materials in the Clark Freeport Zone. The role supports chemical formulation execution, safety in the laboratory, and document control under the supervision of the Material Testing Supervisor-Chemist.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in Chemistry, with no required prior work experience, and will work within cGMP/HACCP/ISO frameworks to ensure timely test results and compliance.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of laboratory safety protocols, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and general equipment handling.
• Foundational understanding of manufacturing programs such as cGMP, HACCP, and ISO standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform chemical and physical analyses of raw materials according to company standards and specifications.
• Help maintain safe housekeeping and environment, including chemical safety in the laboratory.
• Assist in ensuring laboratory compliance with quality management system standards and document control (SOPs, procedures, guidelines).
• Assist the Chemist in executing chemical formulations as per testing requirements.
• Support timely release of test results for raw materials used in tire production and verify Suppliers Inspection Certificates per standards.

Job description

• Perform chemical and physical analyses of raw materials in accordance with company standards and specifications.
• Helps in maintaining and implementing good housekeeping and safe environment including management of chemical safety in the Laboratory.
• Assist in ensuring compliance of the laboratory to quality management system standards and regulations and in maintaining the availability of both internal and external documents and provide assistance in the preparation of factory standard documents such as S.O.P, procedures and guidelines.
• Assist the Chemist in executing chemical formulation as per the raw materials testing requirements.
• Works in timely releasing of test results of raw materials prior to its use for tire production and assist in confirming the Suppliers Inspection Certificate adhering to company standards and specifications.
• Assist in monitoring compliance of machine maintenance schedule for both in-house and outsource preventive maintenance services and collaborates with intended department for equipment management.
• Assist in conducting education of newly hire testing personnel, OJTs and assist in the evaluation of training needs and performance of Raw Material Inspectors and Material Testing Technicians.
• Assist in monitoring and Management of chemical inventories.
• Support Testing laboratory maintenance programs and continuous improvement.
• Assist in the implementation of proper disposal of hazardous chemical waste in accordance to EMS procedure and in coordination with the company PCO.
• Reporting directly to Material Testing Supervisor-Chemist

Job Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of BS Chemistry
• Previous work experience not required
• Basic knowledge of laboratory safety protocols, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and general equipment handling
• A foundational understanding of manufacturing programs such as cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice), HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point), and ISO standards.
