Job summary

Philip Morris International in the Philippines is seeking a senior Master Data Management professional to establish governance frameworks and lead data quality initiatives across customer, product and reference data domains. The role sits in the Digital & Technology team and requires collaboration with business owners, data stewards, and technical teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Master Data Management, Data Governance, Data Management, or Data Architecture.
• Experience implementing or managing MDM programs.
• Strong knowledge of customer, product, and reference data domains.
• Experience defining business rules, hierarchies, and master data processes.
• Understanding of data models, entity relationships, and system integrations.
• Experience with MDM platforms and governance frameworks.
• Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish governance frameworks, ownership, and stewardship models for master data.
• Develop standards, business definitions, governance controls, and business rules.
• Manage master data lifecycle processes including creation, update, approval, and deactivation.
• Govern business hierarchies, reference data, and master data relationships.
• Support logical and physical data models for master data domains.
• Drive consistency of master data definitions across systems and platforms.
• Lead MDM tool governance, adoption, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support onboarding of business functions into MDM platforms.
• Partner with Data Quality teams to monitor and resolve master data issues.
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops and governance discussions.
• Act as the primary contact for MDM-related initiatives.

The Team

As part of PMBS' Digital & Technology organization, you'll help establish and govern PMI's Master Data Management (MDM) capabilities. Working with business owners, data stewards, and technical teams, you'll ensure trusted, standardized, and business-owned master data across key domains including Customer, Product, License, and Store/Channel.

You will drive master data governance practices that improve data consistency, quality, and business trust while supporting reporting, analytics, and operational excellence.

What You'll Do

Skills & Capabilities

• 7+ years of experience in Master Data Management, Data Governance, Data Management, or Data Architecture.
• Experience implementing or managing MDM programs.
• Strong knowledge of customer, product, and reference data domains.
• Experience defining business rules, hierarchies, and master data processes.
• Understanding of data models, entity relationships, and system integrations.
• Experience with MDM platforms and governance frameworks.
• Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills.

Preferred

• Experience supporting enterprise MDM platforms and workflows.
• Strong understanding of data governance, quality, and lifecycle management principles.
• Familiarity with data catalogs, metadata management, and data quality tools.
• Experience governing complex master data structures across multiple systems.
• Exposure to cloud data platforms and analytics environments.
• Understanding of data architecture, data modeling, and integration concepts.
• DAMA, CDMP, or similar certification.
• Experience supporting business-led data ownership and stewardship models.
