JOB PURPOSE:

The Master Data Governance Lead will play a crucial role in overseeing the organization's master data assets and implementing effective data management and governance strategies. This position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and security of our data while maximizing its value for the organization. This position requires a strong understanding of master data governance principles, proficiency in data management technologies, and excellent leadership and communication skills.

Scope: Master Data Management for Control Center, Local Purchase, SAP, and Digital Platforms.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support and assist in establishing and maintaining data governance framework, including data classification, ownership, and stewardship.
  • Lead data quality initiatives, including data profiling, cleansing, and enrichment, to enhance data accuracy and reliability.
  • Ensure data accuracy between systems and conduct regular master data audit.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of data management professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
  • Provide day-to-day supervision to Sr. Data Admins ensuring work assignments and system change executions are on-time and accurate.
  • Assess the performance of team members in a timely manner.
  • Ensure accuracy in POS user management and work with store operations in reviewing level of access (LOA) given.
  • Provide regular reports essential to maintaining, analyzing, and communicating the status of quality of master data such as, but not limited to, data quality, master data health, data governance compliance, team status, etc.
  • Ensure that the response and resolution Service Levels commitments of the Master Data Management Team are met.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and standards for data acquisition, storage, and usage.
  • Manage and escalate issues to correct teams to provide resolution and recommendation.
  • Monitor and evaluate master data management processes and systems to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Develop and implement master data management policies, procedures, and standards to ensure data integrity, quality, and security between systems.
  • Monitor and validate master data integration processes across various systems and platforms to ensure seamless data flow and consistency.
  • Provide feedback and validation of master data design and implementation of data architecture and infrastructure to support business needs and objectives for new projects.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in data management and recommend innovative solutions to enhance data capabilities.

JOB REQUIREMENTS A. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration / Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (3 years) in data management, with a focus on data governance, data quality, and data integration.
  • Strong understanding of data management principles, methodologies, and best practices. • Proficiency in data management tools and technologies, such as data modeling, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tools, and data governance platforms.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and identify data management issues.
  • Solid management and supervision skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage resources, and deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Data Management Professional, Certified Information Management Professional) are a plus.
