What started as a small project has grown into a multimillion-dollar brand trusted by thousands of property owners. We’re expanding rapidly across Amazon, Walmart, BestBuy, and TikTok Shop while building systems and a team designed for scale.

Role Purpose

The Marketplace Director owns the growth and profitability of all 3rd-party retail platforms: Amazon, Walmart, BestBuy, Target, Costco, Home Depot, and emerging marketplaces. This person is responsible for opening, scaling, and optimizing each marketplace A–Z — from listings and ads to reviews, promotions, and compliance.

They must be results-driven, aggressive, and accountable, treating each marketplace like its own business unit with P&L ownership.

Core Responsibilities
  1. Marketplace Setup & Expansion
    • Open and manage accounts across Amazon, Walmart, BestBuy, Target, Home Depot, Costco, etc.
    • Ensure brand registry, compliance, and MAP enforcement.
    • Handle onboarding paperwork, negotiations, and category approvals.
  2. Listings & Optimization
    • Create and optimize product listings (titles, images, A+, keywords, FAQs).
    • Build variations/bundles (e.g., S4 Pro + antenna kits).
    • Ensure PDPs are localized (US, CA, UK, AU, EU).
    • Coordinate with Creative Lead to produce high-converting imagery & video.
  3. Reviews & Credibility
    • Drive review velocity on Amazon/Walmart using Vine, affiliates, and creator seeding.
    • Build strategies to suppress negative reviews and boost verified buyer content.
    • Collaborate with PR to improve retail credibility (placements, awards, certifications).
  4. Advertising & Promotions
    • Run Amazon PPC campaigns (Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, DSP).
    • Launch Walmart Connect ads, BestBuy sponsored placements.
    • Plan seasonal promos: Prime Day, Walmart Rollbacks, BestBuy Holiday Deals.
    • Manage budgets for maximum ACOS/ROAS efficiency.
  5. Growth & Profit Accountability
    • Own P&L for each marketplace channel.
    • Deliver weekly growth reports (sales, profit margin, keyword rank, review velocity).
    • Hit revenue + profit targets for each marketplace.
    • Identify and launch into new marketplaces aggressively.
  6. Retail Distribution Expansion
    • Explore offline retail opportunities (Costco, Lowe’s, hardware chains).
    • Build decks and work with PR to secure sell-in credibility.
    • Lead negotiations with distributors/retail buyers.

  • 5+ years managing Amazon + at least 1 other marketplace (Walmart, BestBuy, Target, etc.).
  • Proven track record of scaling marketplace revenue from 6 to 7+ figures.
  • Strong hands-on skills: Amazon Ads, A+ content, keyword research, promotions.
  • Comfortable owning P&L and being judged on hard results.
  • Results-hungry, proactive, thrives in high-growth environments.
  • Leadership ability → can eventually build and manage a small marketplace support team.
